Effective 14 September 2026
Privacy policy
01What we collect
- When you message or call us - your name, phone number, the content of the conversation, photographs of your room and any measurements you share.
- When you order - delivery and billing address, email, GSTIN if you ask for a tax invoice, and records of payments made (we never see or store full card or bank credentials - payments go through your bank or our payment provider).
- When you visit the site - IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and approximate location, via server logs and analytics cookies.
We do not collect date of birth, government ID numbers or any sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to send them.
02How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, prepare quotations and confirm orders.
- To make, deliver and install your furniture, and to honour the warranty.
- To issue invoices and meet tax and accounting obligations.
- To improve the site and the collection, using aggregated analytics.
- With your consent, to send occasional news about new pieces. Every message has a way to opt out and we act on it immediately.
03WhatsApp and our chat assistant
Most conversations happen on WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta Platforms and subject to Meta's own privacy policy. Messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit. The first replies may come from an automated assistant that routes your enquiry to the right design expert; a person reads every conversation before anything is quoted. Our chat platform provider processes messages on our behalf under a data-processing agreement and may not use them for its own purposes.
06How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become orders - 12 months, then deleted.
- Order, invoice and warranty records - 10 years from delivery (the warranty period and the retention period required by tax law), then deleted.
- Analytics logs - 14 months, in aggregated form.
07Security
Data is stored on access-controlled systems with encryption in transit and at rest, and only the people who need it to serve you can see it. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
08Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, unless we must keep it for an order, warranty or tax record;
- stop marketing messages;
- withdraw consent you have previously given.
Write to support@imrare.in or message us on WhatsApp. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
09Children
The site and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
